The Roisin Academy of Irish Dance, Syracuse closed in 2021 and is now a part of the [[Johnston School of Irish Dance]].

The Roisin Academy is made up of dancers of all ages ranging from Beginner to Champion levels under the direction of Lisa Lonergan Abel, T.C.R.G. Lisa is a licensed Irish Dance teacher, certified through the An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha (the Irish Dancing Commission) in Dublin, Ireland.

The Roisin dancers successfully compete on Regional, National & International World Championship competitions in both solo & team levels year-round. When they are not competing, Roisin dancers have fun performing in shows throughout their community including schools, nursing homes, weddings & festivals.

The Academy's mission is to teach the values, tradition & love of Irish Dance in a positive, hardworking atmosphere. Lisa dedicates her life to training dancers & driving them to the best of their ability; showing them the endless opportunities attainable through hard work both in & outside the classroom.
