A little information about the New Castle County Irish Society
Our Irish Society was founded in 1993 by a dedicated group of people who wished to support Irish Culture in our area through Dance, Community Activities, Social and Cultural Events.
Throughout the year we hold a variety of activities at our Irish Center that include dinners, breakfasts, concerts and other events. Our annual "Fest" is held in October and we have a Christmas Bazaar in November. In December we have a Children's Christmas Party, where Santa visits and passes out gifts to the children and grandchildren of our members. You can check the "Current Events" for a list of what is happening each month at the Center.
We offer Irish Ceili and Set Dance lessons from September through May for beginners and experienced dancers. For further information on these classes contact Mary for Beginner lessons or Bud for Set and Experienced Ceili lessons.
A monthly Ceili is held from September through June, including three Potluck Dinners during the winter. The public is welcome to join us in a enjoyable evening of great music and Irish friendship.
